Job Description:
As an Accountant at Finspire Labs, you will be responsible for managing our financial records, including the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company by overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and report on budget variances.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns and related documents.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits. Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Financial Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a digital marketing agency or a similar industry.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
