Introduction
Here at Finspire Labs, we strongly believe in working out of the office but also not — being in the office at times is productive and at times working out is what we need and therefore, balance is key.
WE HAVE A HYBRID WORK POLICY TO ENABLE EMPLOYEES TO ACHIEVE WORK-LIFE BALANCE, BE MORE PRODUCTIVE, AND MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR BUSINESS.
Work Arrangement
Finspire Labs is using a hybrid model such that employees can work from home as well as office. Standard work arrangement includes:
- Days In Office: Employees have to go to work in office on specific days (like 2-3 days in a week). The exact office days will be decided according to team and business needs.
- Remote Work Days: Employees may work from home on the other days, so long as they are reasonably productive and reachable during business hours.
- Full Remote: Depending on the type of role and with manager approval, some roles are eligible to be fully remote.
Office Expectations
When working in the office, employees should:
- Follow regular office hours except otherwise negotiated.
- Attend physical meetings and team effort meetings
- People must still have the ability to listen and feel engaged professionally.
Remote Work Expectations
When working from home, employees have to:
- Have a good internet connectivity and a distraction free work space.
- Be present in those all-important core working hours and participate in minute-sharing sessions.
- Keep in touch with your colleagues and superiors.
- Follow cybersecurity protocols, if any, to keep company information private.
Communication & Collaboration
Finspire Labs uses digital collaboration tools to ensure smooth team work. These include but are not limited to the following:
- Email & Instant Messaging: Conventional communication.
- Project Management Software: For keeping task and deadline tracking.
- Video Conferencing Tools: For meetings, brainstorming sessions, and team check-ins.
Performance & Accountability
However, management should expect the same performance and accountability for employees, regardless of where the work is occurring. Managers will do regular check-ins to do the following:
- Check progress on the projects and deliverables.
- Offer feedback and mention challenges.
- Align with company goals and expectations. Keep this structure short, straight to the point.
Security & Compliance
Even employees who are working from home will still have to adhere to IT security guidelines whilst doing so. which include:
- Utilizing devices approved by the company and VPNs when needed.
- Not using public wifi to connect to workspace
- Reporting any security breaches or cybersecurity issues as soon as possible.
Eligibility & Approval
Criteria that determine who qualifies for the hybrid model:
- The type of position and organizational needs.
- Needs for team collaboration and an approval from management.
- Performance and Fulfillment of Remote Work Expectations
Adjustments & Review
The frequency for review of this policy will depend on business needs, employee feedback, or external factors, and it may, therefore, be subject to change. Changes will be notified ahead of time.
